with the reason I'm leaving the show. I made mistakes last week. So I

couple of uh corrections. It's clearly a sign that I've been here long enough. A couple of big ones. I said that uh New1 minute, 21 seconds
Hampshire Governor Kelly AayOT had uh signed an anti-trans bill after vetoing three others, but it turned out she1 minute, 30 seconds
vetoed that one, too. So, she vetoed four anti-trans bills because they're not anti-trans enough.1 minute, 38 seconds

I don't think that's it. She did say bring me a better one, but I think
what she means is something more reasonable, but she hasn't defined

it is. So, we will continue to wait to see. But my apologies for saying that she had signed this one. She did not. Uh1 minute, 54 seconds
that's correction number one. Correction number two is that I said the legendary writer Lucian Truscott IVth was gay.2 minutes, 3 seconds

Well, you know, he's on this manliness kick and war fighters and all this garbage. So he has announced that uh all6 minutes, 11 seconds

are going to be tested for testosterone, men and women, because women
do have testosterone too in much lower levels, but they have an an ideal6 minutes, 20 seconds
testosterone level. So he's going to test everyone and then offer uh testosterone treatment to those who want it.6 minutes, 29 seconds
Wait a minute. Is he offering gender affirming care?6 minutes, 32 seconds
Yes. [laughter] I love it. The hypocrisy never fails to shock me. Well, [snorts] the it's true.6 minutes, 39 seconds
The only people who can't get uh testosterone these days in the military are trans troops. That's it.6 minutes, 45 seconds
Uh because he claims that the military can't handle treatment of uh soldiers who are in the6 minutes, 54 seconds
field or whatever. Well, that's exactly what he's offering here.6 minutes, 58 seconds
And if you read the comments by doctors and scientists on this, they will tell you that a it's useless to test for7 minutes, 5 seconds
testosterone because the levels vary daytoday, hour to hour. You have to do7 minutes, 12 seconds
extensive testing over a period of time and you're certainly not going to be able to do that with uh hundreds of people.7 minutes, 19 seconds
What you're asking for is science, an [laughter] science? They don't believe in science.7 minutes, 25 seconds

So, Becca Balant, the lesbian uh congresswoman from Vermont, had something to say about this. Let's listen to her.7 minutes, 48 seconds

encouraging men in the military to get um more testosterone uh hormone replacement therapy is gender8 minutes, 6 seconds

administration that have some weird like intense homoerotic8 minutes, 20 seconds
um feelings towards men while also being incredibly homophobic and not just8 minutes, 28 seconds

but like hatemongering, fear-mongering about the LGBTQ community. So,
let me be clear. I don't think the homoeroticism is the weird8 minutes, 36 seconds
part. The weird part is that they pretend that that's not what it's about.8 minutes, 42 seconds
And so, Pete Hex is like the the example of this like the manly manly rugged8 minutes, 49 seconds
macho man. And it's like I don't know if you know who Tom of Finland is. Tom of Finland. Okay. This is this is uh gay8 minutes, 58 seconds
male porn that was drawn by by a man and and like Pete Hex is the embodiment of that. So I feel like they must be9 minutes, 6 seconds
looking at that as like their their um their uh example for what men look like.9 minutes, 15 seconds
And in terms of like not promoting women, like we know what this is all about. Um, the military, whether you9 minutes, 23 seconds
support the military-industrial conflicts or not, it has always been merit-based. The people who are the best9 minutes, 30 seconds
of the best, rise to the top. And so, the fact that he has systematically been keeping down women and people of color9 minutes, 38 seconds
uh, gives up the whole game. It's actually not about a marbay system anymore.9 minutes, 43 seconds
So
true. And yes, there is [applause] Pete Hegsth in his favorite pose
with a Tom of Finland picture. The resemblance is just striking.9 minutes, 54 seconds
But the other [clears throat] thing this reminds me of is do you ever see Doctor Strange Love? Oh yes.9 minutes, 59 seconds
And the discussion uh the general who was obsessed with bodily fluids. Yeah. Same difference. Yeah. Exactly. Same story.10 minutes, 7 seconds
Same difference. Meanwhile, the Heritage Foundation, which is uh, as you know, the author of10 minutes, 14 seconds
Project 2025, which the administration now brags in a year and a half, they have accomplished half of the agenda of10 minutes, 22 seconds

Well, the here's the Heritage Foundation now. They want women's college sports defunded.10 minutes, 35 seconds
Uh they want women not to uh uh uh play uh hockey or baseball, softball.10 minutes, 45 seconds
They want to give us Pilates and yoga classes. Yoga, yes. And hiking.10 minutes, 50 seconds
But the important thing to note there is it also eliminates the financial opportunities awarded to sports. No more scholarship.10 minutes, 57 seconds

They're going to defer to men. Well, they're trying to funnel women into being trades and staying home. Here's a11 minutes, 7 seconds

I I I I don't even understand how we could reach that conclusion. I don't think they should all be women.11 minutes, 28 seconds
And I think they should be people who are qualified to receive the award regardless of gender.11 minutes, 33 seconds

Uh and then the other thing I wanted to get to was the women's uh tennis association11 minutes, 44 seconds
which is caving into where do I have that? Well, they're going to test, right?11 minutes, 50 seconds
Yes, they are. The Women's Tennis Association has announced Oh, there it is. mandatory testing for uh a gene,11 minutes, 59 seconds
mandatory genetic testing for a gene called SR Y. And the deal is that this12 minutes, 7 seconds
if you have this gene attached to something, uh it's indicative of some12 minutes, 14 seconds
male portion of you. It basically picks up interex people, right?12 minutes, 20 seconds
Or people with who knows? uh but they want to do mandatory testing. This is not a testing uh to see if you are uh12 minutes, 30 seconds
you know biologically male. It's a uh a test that gives indicators of some anomaly in your physical makeup.12 minutes, 39 seconds

them over to Pete Hex for some testing. As people have pointed [clears
throat] out, they're going to be a lot of women who find out that

interex who didn't know it. And this is just egregious and disgusting. Well, they gave in. That's what it is. they cave.12 minutes, 54 seconds

this is the reign of the men uh trying to rule the world with some

right. Uh and uh Steven Miller and Marco Rubio are not great examples

No, they are not. Stephen Miller and Marco Rubio hosted an omnous press event on the resurgence of political terrorism.13 minutes, 48 seconds
What that means is in their mind that democratic organizations and activists are terrorists and they want to defund13 minutes, 58 seconds
Democrats and all nonprofit organizations that are not rightwing.14 minutes, 3 seconds

right. Anybody who speaks against the president, I don't know if our

And they have trotted out the old label of communist. They have just uh picked this out of thin air with absolutely no14 minutes, 28 seconds

they're saying all leftists, all Democrats essentially are communists and enemies of civilization.14 minutes, 45 seconds
Recently the FBI raided the liberal voting rights organization Ohio organizing collaborative with battering rams and guns ready.14 minutes, 53 seconds

Well,
and this is after going into Georgia and grabbing all the voting
machines and records and everything. Y So, uh, watch out because they

meanwhile, um, Trump wants the $5 million back from Eugene Carol. I
knew this was going to happen. Yeah, he was not going to rest easy with

where the uh George Washington Philadelphia house had these panels that told the truth18 minutes
about slavery and the administration took them down because they were, you know, too. They also had a a glass floor18 minutes, 7 seconds

an actual name for it. What it means is that you buy the you buy these
stocks and then you make everybody think this is this really great thing

the stocks are at their high you sell your shares and all the people
you talked into it they're stuck with their shares as the price goes

Well, one of my favorite authors is a guy named Michael Lewis who he wrote Moneyball about uh baseball. wrote The19 minutes, 24 seconds
Big Short about the mortgage crisis and he wrote a book called uh Flash Boys uh a Wall Street revolt and it's about uh a19 minutes, 34 seconds
company that uh literally financed a new cable uh to carry uh financial information and they they built it so it19 minutes, 42 seconds
was just slightly shorter than the existing cable so that the information could get to them milliseconds faster19 minutes, 51 seconds
and
they could make investments based on having the information before
anyone else. It's a fascinating book. All of Michael Lewis's books are

Daughters of the American Resol Revolution were standing up for their

They might. Republican representatives uh have noticed that the D has a federal charter. So once again, you have any20 minutes, 36 seconds

Hopefully those folks will stand strong and fight against that because I
thought what they did was such a great thing. It lasted a week.

were widows and they had no income because women were supposed to be

Budget has proposed a takeover of federal funding policies from Congress because they need to get rid of woke and DEI policies.21 minutes, 16 seconds
I could talk about that for hours, but Cong in in historically Congress appropriates funds and the21 minutes, 24 seconds
administration uh administers that no, now the administration wants to make all decisions about funding. They don't get21 minutes, 32 seconds
the
idea that Congress decides that because the constituents went to their
representatives to say what they wanted, which is how a democracy works.21 minutes, 40 seconds
Well,
the Republicans have uh seated power to the administration. And again,
this is the end result. They the administration is taking that power.21 minutes, 50 seconds
He's not done with that. He's not done there because he wants to grant $12 million to groups founded by UK conservatives.21 minutes, 59 seconds
Yep. Jacob Reese Moog and Toby Young because he likes them.22 minutes, 6 seconds
Yes. The State Department will give these foreign organizations $12 million. 12 million because he likes them.22 minutes, 13 seconds
[snorts] And the House has passed a uh bill to undercut Title Nine uh which is22 minutes, 22 seconds
the equal rights uh title and against sex discrimination which has been interpreted over the years to include22 minutes, 30 seconds
sexual orientation and gender identity non-discrimination. The House new bill takes all that out of it and, you know,22 minutes, 38 seconds
goes along with Trump's definition of uh it's men and women and that's it.22 minutes, 43 seconds
Well, who said it that did the Was it the Heritage Foundation that said that they were worried about women's fertility?22 minutes, 50 seconds
Oh, please. [laughter] And that things like playing sports um cuts down the estrogen and it's just crazy.22 minutes, 58 seconds

gay Republicans in DC are the biggest problem in America. [laughter]

That's us, I'm sure. Um rugby players across the country are trying to stand up for trans players. They're uh the23 minutes, 59 seconds
administration is killing that because uh they have some oversight of uh sports organizations24 minutes, 7 seconds
and
uh and the same is true of the World Darts organization. I was going to
say that poor per that poor person in the world. Like come on.

And also in Ohio, sorry to say that the Democratic nominee for governor, Amy Actton, wants no boys and girls sports.25 minutes, 1 second

another one. She gave in. She caved. She said it. She caved so that she
could win the election. This is how we're winning elections now, by

Well, protrans Democrats have won governorships in New Jersey, Virginia, and Kentucky. So, come on, get some uh25 minutes, 23 seconds

non-binary member of the state legislature, David Sephfort. Yeah. Won [snorts] an assembly primary.25 minutes, 37 seconds
Actually, he's won the primary, but he's assumed to win the general election. Take Deborah Glick's seat. Yes.25 minutes, 43 seconds

interesting to sh to know that Deborah did not endorse him. [snorts] We
don't know the candidates well enough to know uh what I don't know why

I know her a long time. She very instrumental in many of our accomplishments here in New York State. If it wasn't for Deborah.26 minutes, 6 seconds

yes. Uh, Republicans are upset because Cynthia Nixon's been appointed
to a state commission on judicial. What's the funny thing about that and

the funny thing is they say she's not a lawyer. Well, the uh charter
for the commission says you must have a couple of non- lawyers on the

they figured it out because that same material is being shipped to
other bookstores and it wasn't destroyed and it wasn't held up and all

Detroit uh army veterans uh who uh have this couple have been impressed by the LGBTQ53 minutes, 13 seconds
community and say that they've been helped by us. And so they decided that they were going to go big for Pride53 minutes, 20 seconds
Month. And what they now do is they do a fantastic huge display on the front of their house of all sorts of uh rainbow53 minutes, 30 seconds
and pride uh things. And they keep it up all month. They start Memorial Day. They end the 4th of July and it's just huge.53 minutes, 38 seconds

so, it bothered me all night. I got up the next morning. I was down in the kitchen. I was perking the waiting for54 minutes, 39 seconds

coffee to perk and I just opened up my phone and said all the things I
should have said when that person pulled up in front of the house. I was

pajamas. I looked like a hot mess and I went boink and posted it and then went oh [laughter]54 minutes, 55 seconds
cuz I don't know that we had been even remotely political. Nothing really. Um, we were pretty much all just our house55 minutes, 3 seconds
account and the response was amazing. I think Trump coming back into55 minutes, 12 seconds
power and the sense that our pride community was really under threat. So, we kind of picked up a little more steam55 minutes, 19 seconds
last year and last year's theme was the first pride was a riot and then we just escalated this year in part because I'm55 minutes, 26 seconds
a maximalist Mandy. And the other part is um there's over 520 pieces of anti-LGBTQ legislation floating around our country.55 minutes, 36 seconds
If there's a time to get loud and be visible, especially as a straight couple, it's now. It's now. Detroit has55 minutes, 44 seconds
been a blessing for us. I tell everybody this. I don't know that I would have the voice I have if I was anywhere else in55 minutes, 52 seconds
the world. I feel Detroit has helped me find my voice. Um I feel very safe being so vocal here.56 minutes, 4 seconds

I
think where we go from here is we recognize Pride doesn't end in the
month of June. It is an all year ongoing thing. Just because we're not

our
flags and we will take our decorations down, now is the time when we
start to really lean into the real work and that is legislation and
getting56 minutes, 25 seconds
people elected to put legislation in place to stop this kind of hate legislation that's floating around.56 minutes, 38 seconds

is. And it's beautiful to find allies who really get it and who are

whole point of the people in power is to divide us. It is. And and I
want to say to our community that we have to stand together and we have

stand with our trans siblings. We have to be out there. We have to continue to be visible and stand against this. We57 minutes, 20 seconds
have to It's dangerous. I know. I know a lot of people are nervous, but we have to find that courage.57 minutes, 26 seconds
And you have allies out there, and if you speak up, you will find those allies and draw them to you. uh and uh we don't57 minutes, 35 seconds
all have to agree on everything in order to work together. We the whole fundamental point is simply to create a57 minutes, 45 seconds
