Forget TACO, it's now EMPANADA: "Will American allies – EU, Japan, and South Korea – go through with their end of the bargain and buy lots of American weapons, more American LNG, and actually do hundreds of billions of dollars of investments in America? Or is it: Everyone Makes Promises And Never Actually Does Anything?" https://lnkd.in/gAaUEiiJ
You guys are great at food puns. From bottomless mimosas to empanada!
I’m reminded of Foxconn and its $10 billion Wisconsin LCD manufacturing plant from Trump’s first term. They acquired the land, got some slabs laid and diggers moving around… enough for Terry Gou to con Trump into thinking it was following through, then more or less abandoned the whole thing. (They did end up spending $672 million on the site and building a storage warehouse there… but nothing like the original promise.)
Empanada > Taco any day of the week for me Even just a plain cheese emapanda is surprisingly satisfying. In terms of the substance though, 3 years (the remainder of the current Trump administration) seems a long time to stall. Will read with interest.
Just call it Theater
Tacos will never be dead🌮
