what's up? I went to this little Fourth of July event and I was talking
to this guy and he said something about act up and I asked him if he

and
he said, "Oh, did you hear what happened to her?" And she said, "No,
what?" And he said, "Uh, she had a recurrence of her breast cancer." And
the answer is, "No, no, I did not.1 minute, 40 seconds
There
was a little scare a couple of weeks ago when they found a new mass,
but it just turned out to be, as we like to say, a ball of fat. So
please if uh1 minute, 50 seconds
if you think anyone is deceived, correct them. I'm fine. I in fact have gone back to my cured status. Oh, absolutely.1 minute, 58 seconds
Which is what the oncologist says. So uh please stop any rumors to the contrary.2 minutes, 5 seconds

So JW Walker is here. He's the co-founder of the Queer Liberation March, the with this one. [laughter]2 minutes, 20 seconds
True. And co-founder of Gays Against Guns, which was a grand marshall at this year's Pride Parade.2 minutes, 27 seconds
Yeah, it was a lot of fun. Yeah, tell me. So, how was it?2 minutes, 30 seconds
Um,
you know, uh, well, the interesting thing is that Queer Liberation
March was started as a very oppositional to NYC pride, to heritage of
pride. Yes.2 minutes, 40 seconds
The
reality is that over the last several years there's been a lot of
changes at Heritage of Pride. Um and mostly because the corporations are
loud.2 minutes, 50 seconds
Well, that too. Yeah.2 minutes, 51 seconds
Um but uh when you know this year was is Gays Against Guns 10th anniversary. We were founded um you know two a couple2 minutes, 59 seconds
days after the Pulse nightclub shooting which was June 12th, 2016. We made our first public debut um at that Pride3 minutes, 7 seconds
march that year. And so it felt really important for us to participate in um the Heritage of Pride March this year.3 minutes, 13 seconds
I was there. That was a very moving uh thing that first year.3 minutes, 17 seconds
And
so we reached out to them just about figuring out a way that we could
participate. And as it turned out, one of their board members had
already nominated us to be grand marshals. So3 minutes, 26 seconds
everything just sort of dovetailed and um and all the other grand marshals were lovely and the folks at NYC Pride could3 minutes, 34 seconds
not have been kinder and sweeter. Um, I got to represent Gays Against Guns, uh, uh, painting the rainbow crosswalk at3 minutes, 42 seconds
Christopher Street and 7th Avenue. I broke my paint roller stick while I was doing it.3 minutes, 47 seconds
And
you did a dye in in front of the Well, and then on the day of the on
the day of the march. Yes, we did a die in um in front of uh in front of
Stonewall3 minutes, 55 seconds
on
the block in front of Stonewall. So, uh, which is, you know, holding
back to our our activist roots, our disruptive roots. The um the [clears
throat]4 minutes, 3 seconds
marshals of the of the parade were not too thrilled with us for doing that.4 minutes, 7 seconds
They never are, [laughter] which is why there will not be a full Rapro in the foreseeable future.4 minutes, 14 seconds
And
then of course I had to right after we finished, I had to go across cop
on the L train uh to go across 14th Street to go to Union Square to
start the Queer Liberation March.4 minutes, 24 seconds
And how did that go this year? That was really powerful and wonderful.4 minutes, 29 seconds
And
there was yet again a situation with community affairs cops near the
very end. Uh but overall it was a it was a really positive market.4 minutes, 38 seconds

Uh well, let's uh jump into the headlines here because per usual there's a lot going on. Uh ICE arrests are4 minutes, 50 seconds
surging. You don't hear about it as much, but uh they're doubling.4 minutes, 55 seconds
They're doubling. Yeah. uh intelligence officers are being fired by the bozo who's uh currently5 minutes, 2 seconds
running uh is the director of national intelligence. The civil service is being destroyed after the Supreme Court5 minutes, 10 seconds
decision and Trump's campaign to devastate the United States is he's even come close to destroying the World Cup.5 minutes, 19 seconds
Yeah. But it's all in high gear.5 minutes, 22 seconds
Yeah.
And it it doesn't seem like it's going to stop. There was just um
another ICE murder of uh he was apparently a Mexican national, Lorenzo
Salad in Houston, Texas.5 minutes, 32 seconds
Yes, I just heard that.5 minutes, 34 seconds
And
uh and you know, with this surge, of course, there are going to be more
deaths and some of those deaths are going to be American citizens and
it's5 minutes, 43 seconds
just going to get worse. So, next headline uh we got oh well uh what Trump has been5 minutes, 49 seconds
doing across the board uh since the his first month in office is targeting trans people for attack and eraser. Um it5 minutes, 58 seconds
that's at the heart of his strategy to divide to divide the country and to distract people into focusing on some6 minutes, 5 seconds
boogie boogie people um while he's robbing everyone's line and lying of course about all of this.6 minutes, 12 seconds
and you've uh unearthed an interesting new report about how this is uh the strategy being picked up around the6 minutes, 19 seconds
world. We'll talk about that. Uh Patriot Front troops were marching through Washington DC on the 4th of July. There6 minutes, 28 seconds
they were in their khakis and their navy shirts and their face masks. It's just unbelievable. Well, and you know, they6 minutes, 35 seconds
just um I think it was last January um received a judgment against them for to the tune of $2.7 million in a federal6 minutes, 44 seconds
court because an earlier one of these Patriot Front marches back in 2022 in Boston. They attacked a black musician,6 minutes, 53 seconds
Charles Morurell III. Okay. And brutalized.6 minutes, 55 seconds
Save it. We're just doing the headlines at the moment. Uh all right.6 minutes, 59 seconds
All right. So, the resistance Oh. Uh with the resistance is alive and well. Yes. and growing. Yes.7 minutes, 5 seconds
Which is great because they're all so obvious. Uh and believe it or not, the daughters of the7 minutes, 11 seconds
American Revolution have affirmed their trans members. Th This is [laughter] I7 minutes, 19 seconds
just heard an exclamation from our director in the control room. It's true. Yes. Anyway, more details in a moment.7 minutes, 27 seconds
And
the um this wonderful heroic gay couple who have been devoted to
helping the homeless uh have died in New York City within a week of one
another.7 minutes, 36 seconds
Tragic. Turkey, the country where they're holding that uh world meeting, world leaders meeting and you know Trump7 minutes, 45 seconds
is bragging about how close he is to Erdogan. Turkey refused a gay cruise ship from docking there even though7 minutes, 54 seconds
others have done so for years. But this was the moment to uh shut down an Atlantis cruise.8 minutes, 1 second
And yes, there were LGBTQ people at the wedding of Taylor and Travis.8 minutes, 9 seconds
Yes, I' I've been taking notes. I have a list. I didn't get to go through the entire thousand person guest list, but8 minutes, 16 seconds
from what I've seen, I've compiled a list of about a dozen.8 minutes, 20 seconds
All right. Uh, so you know, Trump, he just, you'd think that he would, he's had court decisions8 minutes, 28 seconds
against him. He's had the American people against him, but he just is the proverbial dog with a bone. He cannot8 minutes, 36 seconds
give up anything. I mean, he's still talking about Greenland this week. Uh, and he wants to destroy destroy the8 minutes, 45 seconds
everyone's way of life in this country, every norm, every everything. and certainly going after trans people is at8 minutes, 52 seconds
the heart of it, but he of his strategy and his uh attitudes, but he really8 minutes, 59 seconds
everything he does is negative for the existence of everybody in this country.9 minutes, 4 seconds
Well, in this country and around the world, I mean, the estimates are that 500,000 people at least have already9 minutes, 11 seconds
died um because of the cuts in US aid to developing countries. 500 is a that's a mass murderer. Yes.9 minutes, 18 seconds
You know, that's pulp pot level stuff.9 minutes, 20 seconds
Exactly. And again, with no consequences, uh, and trying to maintain power so that he won't eventually face any9 minutes, 28 seconds
consequences
to this, but it's hard for me to imagine that we're ever going to
succeed in, uh, convicting him of anything or sending him to jail. He
got9 minutes, 37 seconds
the Supreme Court to to declare him immune for everything he's done as president. All right. I I have a my9 minutes, 44 seconds
[snorts] usual list of stories and I've annotated them this week in the uh realm9 minutes, 50 seconds
of bad and good from Trump. So uh the bad outweigh the good by about uh 8 to one.9 minutes, 58 seconds
So [laughter] I'm just going to whip through some of these and we can discuss as we go along.10 minutes, 4 seconds
Yes, ICE arrests are surging and you know the uh Prairie Land arrests from the people who are uh demonstrating10 minutes, 13 seconds
against ICE protesting uh peaceful protests, but they rounded up a lot of them. They've convicted them. They're10 minutes, 20 seconds
sending them all to prison. And the last one is has just been uh given a sentence of six years in prison. Was not at the10 minutes, 29 seconds
protest, right? But convicted of uh material support.10 minutes, 34 seconds
Yeah. Uh and they've fired hundreds of uh intelligence officers because they don't10 minutes, 43 seconds
want to defend this country. They want people to come in like the Patriot Front. And uh in fact, let's look at10 minutes, 50 seconds
those Patriot Front. There's one here that you've probably seen everywhere that's become the iconic picture of the10 minutes, 58 seconds
Patriot Front uh members on the Metro in DC. And this poor woman sitting there11 minutes, 5 seconds
with all these Patriot Front members around her. Now look at those masks.11 minutes, 11 seconds
They're masked. Uh and they look so much like Ku Klux Clan members with those white masks that might as well be hoods.11 minutes, 20 seconds
Uh and they uh and there's this guy. I had just seen this picture. Uh, also11 minutes, 27 seconds
there are a ton of pictures of hundreds of Patriot Front members marching through town, going down to the subway,11 minutes, 36 seconds
surrounding people who are uh just sitting there in terror.11 minutes, 42 seconds
Well,
I mean, the thing is if you they go on the subway like that, they're
going to be surrounding black people because DC is a black town. You
know,11 minutes, 50 seconds
the people that use the subway are black and brown people in DC. And this is also in the in um you know in light of the11 minutes, 58 seconds
continued presence of the National Guard chiefly in black and brown residential neighborhoods in DC. And you know Trump12 minutes, 6 seconds
keeps touting, oh the the lowest crime rate in DC ever, blah blah blah. But he's literally sending National Guard12 minutes, 14 seconds
troops who are coming in from Minnesota or South Dakota or wherever and just sort of instituting martial law in black12 minutes, 23 seconds
and brown neighborhoods and and attacking people sitting in their yards.12 minutes, 28 seconds
Well, Steven Miller and his henchmen continue to talk about the need for America to become a Christian white12 minutes, 35 seconds
society. That that's what it was set up to be. that anyone else should be thrown out of the country. uh and they have not12 minutes, 42 seconds
given up this approach and they uh say it quite blatantly and this is the perfect example of the intimidation they12 minutes, 51 seconds
are wreaking havoc on uh with on the population and I I just uh uh you know I13 minutes
despair
at the people who are put in that situation with those uh patriot front
people around them and the frightening part is it's it's so13 minutes, 8 seconds
normalized like Republican senators, uh, they have free speech rights, too.13 minutes, 14 seconds
Yeah.
Yeah. You know, but the Patriot Front, but everything ensuing, the fact
that Steven Miller, who is a key advisor to the president of the United
States,13 minutes, 22 seconds
saying
key adviser, saying the most racist, horrifically racist neo-Nazi, he's
always been called a Nazi for good reason, things. And we13 minutes, 31 seconds
have a media environment that has just sort of allowed it to be normalized.13 minutes, 35 seconds
They're not, you know, they they'd rather talk about, you know, the latest entertainment news or the soccer or or the Knicks.13 minutes, 43 seconds
Um, which I mean, the Nick should be talked about, don't get me wrong. That's fine.13 minutes, 46 seconds
But, uh, you know, there's a there's a frightening white supremacist takeover of our government that in broad13 minutes, 55 seconds
daylight,
in plain sight, not obuscated, not hidden away, just no, but not being
called out. You know, I I I'm old. I remember the Vietnam War.14 minutes, 6 seconds
I remember the civil rights movement and the uh the blaring headlines about all of this and really people up in arms and14 minutes, 15 seconds
upset in the entire country demonstrating or complaining about all this here. Everybody is just it's like14 minutes, 23 seconds
we're all on Xanax or something. It's just uh well that's not entirely true because of course one of our headlines14 minutes, 30 seconds
also was that people are fighting back but uh let me run through a little more of this. We have the failed state fair,14 minutes, 37 seconds
the failed reflecting pool, the failed Kennedy Center, the failure at Mount Rushmore, the fact that he's stealing14 minutes, 44 seconds
money from uh all the parks, the national parks to put on his failed Fourth of July nonsense.14 minutes, 53 seconds
uh he uh hires the producer of the January 6th rally15 minutes
to set up the failed state fair and and July 4th mess. uh uh the he's still15 minutes, 9 seconds
pushing the Save America Act uh with the anti-trans uh things because it15 minutes, 18 seconds
mandates the exclusion of trans girls from female sports. Uh the Supreme Court15 minutes, 25 seconds
just said you can make rules. His version says you have to and you have to do that across the board. So he's still15 minutes, 34 seconds
after that. Just the list goes on and on. Uh oh, here's one of my favorites.15 minutes, 39 seconds
Shawn Davis from the Federalist, a publisher, writer for the Shan Federalist, said uh would we should15 minutes, 46 seconds
either refuse female immigrants from coming into the country or sterilize them or sterilize them or and and the the15 minutes, 54 seconds
interesting
thing is the way that he phrased it though, it wasn't immigrants, he
said visitors because that's the whole the whole16 minutes, 1 second
thing, right? It was citizenship. it was baby tourism, right?16 minutes, 4 seconds
And
so they so it can't just be people who are immigrating here because
they want to, you know, because if you happen to be pregnant while
you're vacationing16 minutes, 12 seconds
here
and you give birth a little earlier than you planned, then your child
is technically an American citizen, even if you have no intention of
living here or anything,16 minutes, 20 seconds
which of course is the exact story of the American soccer player who uh Trump then went to bat for by calling the head16 minutes, 28 seconds
of FIFA, right? But even though everyone has noticed this and it is all over the news, no one has had the guts to say to16 minutes, 37 seconds
Trump directly, "Wait a minute. I thought you hated birthright citizenship and yet this guy is uh is someone you16 minutes, 45 seconds
felt was mistreated and you wanted to elevate." What's his answer to that?16 minutes, 50 seconds
Yeah.
Well, the the real thing he's going to have to answer for is the fact
that he keeps cursing uh American hopeful teams. Like I mean the Knicks16 minutes, 58 seconds
did
end up winning, but so the one the one game in that fi in those finals
that Trump attended is the one game the Knicks lost. Then the second
after he17 minutes, 6 seconds
intervenes on behalf of this American soccer player, they lose and they're out of the competition. So uh you know,17 minutes, 14 seconds
people should just try to not allow not ask any favors for Trump, not ask him.17 minutes, 19 seconds
He's supposed to go to the final at the World Cup, but since the US will not be playing, I don't know which team he will curse.17 minutes, 29 seconds
Maybe the stadium will maybe have problems. I don't want to say that since we're about to lose a skyscraper17 minutes, 37 seconds
here on 42nd Street that was going to be converted into into apartments.17 minutes, 42 seconds
Well, I think it still can be, but do they have to knock down the whole thing to rescue it? I don't know.17 minutes, 47 seconds
Anyway,
uh so he also is of course putting his signature on the $100 bill, the
first president to feel he needs to uh have his signature on the
currency.17 minutes, 59 seconds
Absolutely shameful. Uh he he he rails against trans uh people taking18 minutes, 8 seconds
advantage, but all his rich friends take advantage on a daily basis, and that's not a18 minutes, 15 seconds
problem. So, the hypocrisy of that is disturbing. Uh, and the Coast Guard18 minutes, 22 seconds
forced the Clearwater Sloop out of the Tall Ships parade here in New York on the 4th of July because they put up a a18 minutes, 31 seconds
banner that said uh, you know, it was about the environment, right? It was Yes.18 minutes, 37 seconds
indigenous rights and uh, climate justice or something. Yeah. and that was too much and so they took it out of the18 minutes, 45 seconds
parade. Uh HUD has been ordered to remove sexual orientation and gender18 minutes, 52 seconds
identity
non-discrimination from its rules and just mentioned sex. Now of course
we'll go right back to court and say but sex includes sexual
orientation19 minutes, 1 second
and gender identity. Well, I think that well the reason they did it though is a part of the recent um trans ruling was19 minutes, 9 seconds
that about trans sports was that Title N when Title N was written sex only meant male female didn't mean anything else.19 minutes, 17 seconds
This
drives me crazy. Well, I keep saying you want to be a constitutional
originalist. How can you make a decision about airplanes?19 minutes, 24 seconds
Yeah, [clears throat] exactly that. Exactly that. Yeah.19 minutes, 27 seconds
You know, uh All right. Well, I want to uh nominate uh a hero for the week in the midst of this uh Air Force Major Watson19 minutes, 36 seconds
who stood on the steps of the Capitol there in uniform with his sign, impeach, convict, remove. What a guy. What a19 minutes, 46 seconds
great thing to do. But uh the Trump administration of course didn't like it.19 minutes, 50 seconds
And so here's what happened to Major uh Watson. he was arrested. Uh,19 minutes, 58 seconds
and he his message to the population of the United States is speak up peacefully20 minutes, 5 seconds
every day until we get rid of these uh, creeps. Now, what bothers me about this20 minutes, 11 seconds
is here we have the six people, the uh senators and uh veterans who did that20 minutes, 19 seconds
video saying the military should not obey uh illegal.20 minutes, 25 seconds
Yes, exactly. And so this guy gets up and does this and you would expect people to cheer. Mhm.20 minutes, 32 seconds
No, I have a habit of watching MS now a lot and there are a lot of20 minutes, 39 seconds
uh progressive or liberal military types, ex-military or whatever, and there's one General Hurtling who I have20 minutes, 46 seconds
enjoyed listening to. He gets on there after this and says, "How dare this guy do this? This is treasonous. This is20 minutes, 54 seconds
you're not supposed to do things like this in uniform. You shouldn't speak like this." And I think, what the Yeah.21 minutes, 3 seconds
What do you want? Do you want people to speak up and and object to illegal uh actions by the president or don't you?21 minutes, 11 seconds
Well, it's this whole it's this whole thing of people that are still stuck in people on the left who are still or in21 minutes, 18 seconds
the center who are still stuck on this um protocol and you know doing uh doing21 minutes, 25 seconds
what's
expected given your position of your office when the other side is just
we don't care about any of that. We're going to do whatever we want to
do. We're going to shred the Constitution.21 minutes, 34 seconds
We're
going to ignore the Bill of Rights. We're going to just, you know,
follow everything that the Heritage Foundation said in Project 2025.21 minutes, 41 seconds
regardless of how unconstitutional it is. And then and we're trying to fight that with too many people who are in21 minutes, 48 seconds
charge
of democratic politics or who are consultants or pundits or what have
you that are well-connected that get the airwaves um uh that are still
sticking21 minutes, 58 seconds
to the old the old paradigm and it doesn't work. It's asymmetrical warfare.22 minutes, 2 seconds
And look, I want the entire military to resign and uh demonstrate. I do, again,22 minutes, 9 seconds
I'm old enough to remember all the uh active duty and veteran military throwing their medals uh at the White22 minutes, 18 seconds
House uh over the White House fence in the Vietnam War. I want to see more stuff like that. I want to see people22 minutes, 25 seconds
objecting and demonstrating voseiferously or as Major Watson says, speaking up peacefully every single day.22 minutes, 35 seconds
there has to be a a bigger fight back.22 minutes, 39 seconds
So, uh but he was and I thought he did a fantastic job of um maintaining his22 minutes, 46 seconds
dignity and speaking out forcefully and honestly about that. Uh I am happy to see that the uh that Congress has22 minutes, 55 seconds
mandated the funds to restore the press three on the suicide hotline. Uh23 minutes, 2 seconds
yes. uh which uh takes you to someone who will talk to you as an LGBTQ counselor. But23 minutes, 10 seconds
you know, half those calls used to be taken by the Trevor Project and then they got defunded and now they can't get back on this23 minutes, 19 seconds
because if you're not actively an organization on the line on the hotline, you can't be restored. So,23 minutes, 27 seconds
and what they are probably going to do is give it to, you know, is transfer have those calls transferred to some23 minutes, 35 seconds
right-wing Christian repairative therapy, pray the gay away organization.23 minutes, 41 seconds
They're going to give them in charge of that and that's going to mess these kids up even more.23 minutes, 46 seconds
Yeah.
Because they're calling because they're in distress. And so, you're
right. The uh right-wing interpretation of that is well, if you would uh
stop being gay.23 minutes, 55 seconds
Yeah. life would be lovely.23 minutes, 58 seconds
Uh uh good news, a court in California rejected the fed's demands for the24 minutes, 6 seconds
medical records of trans kids uh who were uh at Stanford Hospital. So that's24 minutes, 13 seconds
one piece of good news. and another court for bad the United States Postal Service from following through on24 minutes, 22 seconds
Trump's orders to not send mail in ballots to people. Now, Trump is still fighting that in various ways.24 minutes, 29 seconds
Well, and apparently Lewis DeJoy um postmaster postmaster general has said that has24 minutes, 36 seconds
refused to say that he's not going to um hold those ballots. He's saying, "I will we will follow the laws or the24 minutes, 43 seconds
directives from the federal government, whatever they are," or something. You know, he's he's being very squirly about it.24 minutes, 49 seconds
I
smile because I know he's been through the ringer several times. It's
hard to imagine people now that I've made this plea for people to stand
up to uh Trump.24 minutes, 59 seconds
I I also wonder whether they will have the guts to do so.25 minutes, 4 seconds
Uh but progressive candidates are winning. Yes.25 minutes, 7 seconds
Uh you're involved in progressive politics with progressive candidates.25 minutes, 13 seconds
I know a few. I've I've I've I've uh I've uh endorsed a few, but I I normally my whole thing is staying in the streets25 minutes, 21 seconds
and
and not in the uh fun. Well, and also then you you're not beholden to
any of them. You're not, you know, you can hold them you can hold them
all to25 minutes, 30 seconds
account. But do even as a street activist, do you have a sense that uh we actually can make progress and uh win25 minutes, 38 seconds
some of these races or are we going to get knocked on our rear ends when we come to the general election?25 minutes, 44 seconds
I
think I think that um that these progressive candidates who have won
their various primaries, I think that they're going to win the general. I25 minutes, 52 seconds
think that the we're we're kind of in the same place that we were in 2016 and the people are telling us that and26 minutes, 2 seconds
the problem is women's march.26 minutes, 4 seconds
Well, that was 2020. Oh, no, that was that was 2017. But I'm talking about in the leading up to the 2016 election.26 minutes, 12 seconds
We lost that election.26 minutes, 13 seconds
Well, I know. But the reason that we lost that election is because the Democratic party wasn't listening to the people26 minutes, 21 seconds
and we had a TV star who [laughter] had not fully revealed itself. But my point is that then once people got over their26 minutes, 28 seconds
shock,
they did the women's march at the beginning of 2017 around right at his
inauguration and then in 2018 we won the midterms.26 minutes, 37 seconds
We won the midterms. Exactly. Exactly.26 minutes, 39 seconds
And I think that well the the whole point is whether or not the DNC respects these progressive candidates because26 minutes, 46 seconds
what we're seeing right now is uh some a some group of centrist Democrats are26 minutes, 55 seconds
excoriating
all of these Democratic socialist candidates, all these progressive

she and her her movement have been going from country to country to

uh rejected that proposal and they are affirming and welcoming their

know, once they became very publicly proud of their black membership,
it was, you know, this is this is the natural progression. It's like

when you reject racism, you know, it becomes that much easier to reject

pronouns. So they were competing in a very famous meet uh the Prefontaine uh annual meet named after Steve42 minutes, 22 seconds
Prefontaine who died young and was a great uh athlete. Uh Nikki Hilts is42 minutes, 28 seconds
non-binary and trans, but does not take any hormones or anything that is uh that42 minutes, 37 seconds
would call their gender into question for competitions like this and wins42 minutes, 45 seconds
competitions and won this one. Uh won the women's mile at the uh Prefontaine42 minutes, 51 seconds
Classic, beating a Kenyon favorite. Uh they came in seventh in the 1500 meters at the Paris Olympic Games in 2024.43 minutes, 1 second
uh will continue to compete, I think, uh very successfully, but is heroic in describing themselves as non-binary and43 minutes, 10 seconds
trans, but not doing anything uh physically that would uh prevent them pre prevent them from running because43 minutes, 19 seconds

is a wrestler and they made him wrestle with the girls on the grounds that he was assigned female at birth and they44 minutes, 13 seconds
wouldn't
accept him in the boys division and he just wiped out all the girls and
it was just tragic and he didn't want to be doing that, right? Uh, but

his
only choice and it it wasn't good for the girls and it wasn't good for
him and it wasn't good for anybody. And they made a a lovely little

All right. Uh, in Puerto Rico, they arrested uh Robinson Dela Cruz who has44 minutes, 38 seconds
threatened uh mass killings of LGBTQ people. He wants to do another uh pulse massacre. He admires that.44 minutes, 46 seconds

that was it was like messages on online and and uh And then he found he
had a lot of uh child porn on TV, of course, because that always

And in Philadelphia, there's uh an urgent manhunt for uh Jaylen uh Melture45 minutes, 2 seconds
who uh over uh several weeks in May and June. Uh shot up uh three gay men.45 minutes, 11 seconds
Uh he's targeting them. He's so far killed two and injured one. And if you're in that area, I find out about that and watch out.45 minutes, 23 seconds
Uh, New Jersey has passed protections for trans care, abortion, IVF, etc.45 minutes, 32 seconds

Uh, governor, we told you that Governor Pritker in Illinois had signed three protrans laws. One of them uh we're45 minutes, 40 seconds
reading about uh uh no uh uh uh it took testosterone off a list of monitored45 minutes, 49 seconds
medications so that trans people would not be targeted.45 minutes, 53 seconds
And
it was sort of that the the state was monitoring the dueling out of
those medications on a government database for the state and then this

government would have been able to seize those records if they continued to keep them on.46 minutes, 5 seconds
Right. uh in Northfield, Minnesota, the Pride operation there has been continually attacked by local haters.46 minutes, 13 seconds
So, they're fighting back there. There are a couple of women with some lovely uh Well, this is this was a really lovely46 minutes, 20 seconds
story because what they did was these were basically allies. These were not necessarily LGBTQ people. These were the46 minutes, 28 seconds
plus people. And um they um sort of surrounded wherever these these hate mongers went. They would gather around46 minutes, 37 seconds

and they would hold hold up signs with one message to the people
celebrating pride on the front and another message sort of with a Bible46 minutes, 44 seconds

about like don't hate and things like that facing the haters and they
would sing and they would follow them around and they would sing these

uplifting songs and you know it reminded me of Matthew Shepherd's funeral.46 minutes, 59 seconds

And
in Topeka, Kansas, when they would go after Westboro Baptist Church,
Yes. and they would do the same kind of thing there. And that kind of

confrontation to shame the haters and and not let them intimidate people is a great story.47 minutes, 22 seconds

He also has changed his mind on IVF. He used to say he was proudly pro IVF, but now he's decided that's abortion. Why do47 minutes, 44 seconds

Well, he needs to shore up the rightwing support. uh in Kansas uh there was a trans woman who followed the law when47 minutes, 57 seconds
they changed the law and said you you know you cannot uh be trans you have to declare yourself by your uh birth48 minutes, 5 seconds
assigned gender. So, she changed her driver's license to male. And then she got stopped and they said, "What's with48 minutes, 12 seconds
this male on your driver's license? You look like a woman." And she said, "I'm just following your stupid law." Exactly.48 minutes, 19 seconds
And
so, and then they charged her for not showing up in court even though
they had let her go. And well, yeah, it was that the cop let her48 minutes, 27 seconds
go
with a warning. Didn't give her a ticket. So, as far as she know,
leaving the leaving the thing, she um didn't uh have any cords there.
Then she received,48 minutes, 36 seconds

and behold, lo and behold, she gets something in the mail saying that
if she does not show up for this for this court hearing, she's48 minutes, 44 seconds
going
to, you know, suffer repercussions. So, I think she did show up and
they have now but but there was there was no there there and nothing48 minutes, 52 seconds
happened.
But the whole issue though is that these kinds of laws are stupid and
they're going to result in stupid things. We've already seen so many49 minutes, 1 second
cisgender women um getting attacked in women's rooms. Absolutely. By men. Men49 minutes, 7 seconds
storming into women's rooms because this someone has reported them. Yes. Cuz someone's reported them or because just49 minutes, 15 seconds
they they take a look at this woman and she's too butchlooking for their mind to to conceive that she's uh that she's a a49 minutes, 24 seconds
woman. and then this man who he's trying to protect. It it makes no sense.49 minutes, 30 seconds
It's the law of unintended consequences, but it's really sad and awful.49 minutes, 34 seconds
And
it particularly hits this sort of behavior particularly hits black
women u whose whose femininity has been routinely attacked for forever.

uh here's a story I like. So uh we have said that the Federal Trade Commission was going after WP PATH, the uh trans49 minutes, 52 seconds
medical organization. And so they have brought suit against WP Path and uh and49 minutes, 59 seconds
they did it in this, you know, this little northern Texas district where they do everything.50 minutes, 4 seconds
Yes. Because there are one or two judges there who will do everything rightwing.50 minutes, 8 seconds
And uh WPATS said, "No, that's inappropriate. We want to have this adjudicated in uh Washington where the50 minutes, 15 seconds
FTC is, where we are, whatever." And the FTC objected. The judge in Texas, Reed O' Conor, who is a notorious50 minutes, 24 seconds
right-wing judge sided with WPATH and said, "I shouldn't be looking at this50 minutes, 31 seconds
case. It should be assigned to a judge in DC. I am denying the FTC's uh request50 minutes, 39 seconds
for me to hear this case." Well, but but that was after though he had a private conversation with the50 minutes, 46 seconds
judge the WP path where he had reached out to. So something Boseberg Boseber the guy who said turn back the planes.50 minutes, 54 seconds

Uh some creepy guy in Brooklyn 37 years old has been charged with assaulting a 12-year-old boy.51 minutes, 14 seconds
Yeah. With his belt. Yeah. Slapping his kid with a belt and calling homophobic slurs. Yeah. Assault, menacing, hate51 minutes, 21 seconds
crime. Uh Delaware, there's an update on a story we did last week. We said that they had failed to pass a51 minutes, 29 seconds
constitutional
amendment protecting samesex marriage and interracial marriage. Well,
they went back for a second try at that in the legislature51 minutes, 37 seconds
and they did pass it. So, they have to pass it twice. It's a constitutional amendment, but it is expected to51 minutes, 44 seconds
progress.
So that's that ends up being good news in uh Delaware. But in Missouri,
the governor uh says no hormones or surgery for trans inmates.51 minutes, 56 seconds

Whatever which is just which is which has already been ruled in federal courts. um that denying52 minutes, 6 seconds
um that denying uh medication to trans inmates is is like cruel and unusual punishment is torture is52 minutes, 14 seconds

they can push it up through the court system so that it goes to the Supreme Court. So then these six horrific people52 minutes, 29 seconds

Uh, [clears throat] in Alabama, the former mayor, Tallahassee, Florida, and Florida governatorial candidate Andrew Gillum,52 minutes, 44 seconds

In Seattle, Washington, there's a trans organization there, Traction, which has moved 1,500 trans people to Seattle out52 minutes, 58 seconds
of bad states, but they're getting overwhelmed. uh if you want to help them look into that. That's just since the53 minutes, 4 seconds
