rally, but as long as God gives me breath and strength, I'm going to

discretionary dollar on bombs and bullets and for a president and Congress to try and increase that spending to15 minutes, 21 seconds
$1.5 trillion dollar annually and deny the needs of the people is madness.15 minutes, 28 seconds
There's a whole lot of madness coming out of this house behind us. There's a whole lot of madness on Capitol Hill.15 minutes, 35 seconds

a senior pastor from North Carolina and I am an American. Yeah, but my spirit is troubled17 minutes, 23 seconds
when I see a golden image of the president erected and I hear of a rededication of the nation.17 minutes, 32 seconds
I'm trouble because there have not been any repentance.17 minutes, 38 seconds
If you're going to rededicate, there must first be repentance. And repentance17 minutes, 45 seconds
is an act of reviewing one's action, feeling genuinely remorse, a contriction17 minutes, 52 seconds
for past wrongdoings, and making a sincere commitment to personal change17 minutes, 59 seconds
and better behavior. It involves both a change of heart and an active shift in direction away from negative habits.18 minutes, 12 seconds
Repent. I say repent for the child slavery of 4.4 million African people in18 minutes, 22 seconds
the United States that lasted roughly four 246 years.18 minutes, 30 seconds
Repent for approximately 4,743 people that were lynched in the United States.18 minutes, 40 seconds
Repent for the trail of tears when between 10,000 and 15,000 Native Americans that18 minutes, 49 seconds
tried to cross and go and be re re uh relocated in the 1830s, they died.18 minutes, 58 seconds

Repent. repent for refusing to address the 250,00019 minutes, 6 seconds
people that die every year from poverty and those who die because of denial of19 minutes, 14 seconds
health care. We I'm calling you to repent. Repent for not having a national19 minutes, 21 seconds
day of mourning for more than 1.2 million Americans who die from CO globally. 7.1 million who died from CO.19 minutes, 32 seconds
Repent. Repent for engaging in an unholy war. Repent.19 minutes, 40 seconds
Repent for creating unjust laws and oppressive policies that exploit the19 minutes, 48 seconds
poor, the needy, the widow, and the orphan. Repent for engaging in19 minutes, 55 seconds
unnecessary hurt and violence.20 minutes
And as we approach Pentecost Sunday, it is my prayer that the Holy Spirit will fall down.20 minutes, 10 seconds

This is our moral response to religious nationalism.20 minutes, 57 seconds

It talks about family values, but abandoned families at the border. It abandoned families in a hospital room.21 minutes, 34 seconds
It abandoned families in lowwage jobs.21 minutes, 36 seconds
It
abandoned families and communities left without clean air, clean water,
and real opportunity. And let us say clearly that it is not

That is religious nationalism dressed up in Sunday clothes.21 minutes, 52 seconds
The prophets, sages, and sacred truth tellers knew the difference.21 minutes, 57 seconds
Moses knew the difference when he stood before Pharaoh and said, "Let my people go." Miriam knew the difference when the when22 minutes, 4 seconds
she sang freedom on the other side of the sea.22 minutes, 8 seconds
Isaiah knew the difference when he cried, "Woe to those who make unjust laws." Amos knew the difference when he22 minutes, 15 seconds
thundered,
"Let justice roll down like waters." Micah knew the difference when he
declared that God requires us to do justice, love mercy, and walk

Mary, Jesus's mother, knew the difference when she sang a song of God, who brings down the powerful and lifts up the lowly.22 minutes, 36 seconds
Jesus knew the difference when he said, "Whatever you do to the least of these, you do also unto me."22 minutes, 42 seconds
And our Muslim brothers and sisters know the truth is this. The prophet Muhammad, peace be unto him, taught that faith22 minutes, 50 seconds
cannot be separated from mercy, justice, and the care of our neighbors. The Quran calls people to stand firmly for justice22 minutes, 58 seconds
even when it cost them something. Our Jewish brothers and sisters know this truth. You cannot claim covenant while23 minutes, 6 seconds
crushing the stranger, the widow, the orphan, and the poor. Our sik brothers and sisters know this truth. No one is23 minutes, 14 seconds
high, no one is low, and every human being carries sacred worth. Our Buddhist brothers and sisters know this truth.23 minutes, 22 seconds
suffering must not be ignored and compassion must become practiced. Our Hindu brothers and sisters know this23 minutes, 29 seconds
truth. Righteousness is not private belief alone. It is the right action in the world. So let us be clear across23 minutes, 37 seconds
many truths, across many faiths and our moral convictions. The sacred witness is23 minutes, 44 seconds
the same. Any religion that makes people disposable is not defending God or the23 minutes, 51 seconds
great creator. It is defending power and empire.23 minutes, 56 seconds
Empire always needs religion to make its violence look respectable.24 minutes, 2 seconds
But we are here to say not in our name not in our not with our scriptures not with our prayers24 minutes, 11 seconds
not with our pullpits not with our synagogues our synagogues not with our temples24 minutes, 18 seconds
not with our silence not with our because policy violence is still violence.24 minutes, 24 seconds
When
a worker cannot live on their wages that is violence. When a
grandmother has to choose between medicine and groceries, that is

When voters are pushed out of the democracy by design, that is violence.24 minutes, 38 seconds
When bombs get funded and bodies get abandoned, that is violence.24 minutes, 43 seconds
When
a nation can find money for war, but cannot find money for housing,
health care, food, schools, and living wages, that is not a budget

That is a moral problem. Yeah.24 minutes, 54 seconds
And we have come to declare on these sacred streets we have made holy that truth across all faith traditions25 minutes, 2 seconds
and moral convictions. No one is disposable. The poor is not disposable.25 minutes, 8 seconds
The children are not disposable. Elders are not disposable. Immigrants are not disposable. Migrants are not disposable.25 minutes, 16 seconds
Workers are not disposable. LGBTQ community is not disposable. People without health care is not disposable.25 minutes, 23 seconds
People in war zones is not disposable.25 minutes, 26 seconds
People
in forgotten counties, abandoned neighborhoods and over police streets
are not disposable. Every person carries sacred growth. Everybody bears

Every community deserves protection. And every policy must be judged by what it does to the least protected among them.25 minutes, 44 seconds
So I want you to know now, love is not weak.25 minutes, 47 seconds
Love is not quiet in the face of cruelty. Love does not step aside while people are crushed. Love shows up. Love25 minutes, 55 seconds
speaks up. Love organizes. Love mobilizes. Love stands in the street. So let the nation hear us and hear us well.26 minutes, 5 seconds
We will not bow down to religious nationalism. We will not bless policy violence. We will not let cruelty wear26 minutes, 12 seconds
the name of God. We are here because our faith teaches us better. We are here because our ancestors taught us better.26 minutes, 19 seconds
Our prophets taught us better. Our mors traditions teach us better. And until justice rolls, until peace is policy,26 minutes, 28 seconds

A level of madness is the level of quietness of the church of faith in the29 minutes

And
I want us to pause for a second because about seven people are going to

Christian pullpits and found that the issue of poverty and the issues that Jesus started with were30 minutes, 14 seconds
